I have been observing it since a long time that Google is slow with my blog and new articles are not being indexed at proper time. I is taking upto 3-5 hours in indexing of newly published articles. It is the problem for may WordPress blogs and even after pinging and having good search engine ranking many WordPress blogs are unlucky in case of rapid indexing.
While most of Blogspot blogs are lucky and get their articles are indexed within a very short time i.e less than 15 minutes. It may be a joke but it is true that my friend’s Blogspot blog which is founded before some days ago gets its article indexed immediately after publishing. On the other hand there are a lot of WordPress blog having good content and get updated frequently are unable to get rapid indexing of new articles and it may take upto one day in indexing of new posts.
What may be the reason of slow indexing of WordPress published articles
Before 5-6 months Google indexing system was working equally for most of website and every new article on every blog was being indexed instantly but now Google become for different websites.
I think Google has taken this step for balancing load on its data servers. Possibly Google has created groups for website based on indexing delay.
Some websites gets their articles indexed immediate.
Some other get their articles indexed within a few hours.
And most of the websites are unlucky and their posts are not indexed before a day.
It is all up to Google strategies but many good and quality content websites are affecting due to indexing delay.
Here I want to talk about a robot website which is generating content automatically using RSS feeds of many blogs. This website grabs the newly published posts on DevilMustCry and many other blogs.
But the duplicate post published on this robot website is indexed earlier than DevilMustCry and surely you will also observe this post also on this robot website named wpleaks.com.
So what it should be said, a bug in Google indexing system?

Even new blogspot articles are now taking huge time delays to get Google indexed.
In my case, it is taking even more than 24 hours.
It seems some update is going on at Google’s infrastructure, possibly they adding Google’s Panda or Farm update.
Don’t worry and make not changes to your blog’s template. But also verify in your Google’s webmasters tools account that your google crawler is showing no error for your blog.
Now many people are reporting “Google not indexing fast”. This means issue is not from our side it is from Google’s side.
Just be patient as things will go fast once again.

You are right and there is something wrong with Google Engine now a days. Blogspot blogs have also been affected but WordPress is a bigger victim.
It seems to be a worry.

How do I confirm my articles were indexed first on
search engines before they got stolen, published on other site
and got indexed first on the other site?
Would my article be counted as duplicte if it will be published
after?
To avoid this issue I bookmark article immediately just after publishing on at least 3 dofollow bookmarking websites such as Diigo.com,Oyex.com and Tweetmeme etc.
You should update your WordPress ping list ( search “ideal ping list for WordPress” on Google).
Make your RSS feed partial instead of full so that you can get back link from auto content generator websites.

Google XML Sitemap is good but you must update ping list for faster indexing.
Ya even i am facing the same problem.It’s almost taking a day or so for me.Don’t know what is the problem
