Finally Motorola is ready to re-launch Motorola Defy in the form of Defy Plus with official IP67 certification. It is an Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) mobile and now there are less chances of Motorola Defy Plain version’s Gingerbread update. Motorola Defy had been launched in 2010 and it is a rugged Android phone. It came with Android 2.1 but later it got Android 2.2 update. Now Motorola has announced Defy Plus with some enhancements and IP67 certificate. Defy Plus is a water and dust resistant mobile which can tolerate 1 meter of water depth for 30 minutes ( it is equal to Samsung Galaxy Xcover as it is also a IP67 certified mobile).
Defy Plus is powered by 1Ghz processor ( Defy has 800Mhz processor).

How does the IP67 Certificate affects my warranty. I bought the phone and in two weeks it had dust under the screen and it had from the factory a battery hold issue, meaning if i move the phone the battery moves and makes a sound clack…Now i’m waiting for the phone to be repaired…although it is clearly that it was defective from the factory….at least the battery issue (it has a smaller holding pin)….Does mMotorola offer a refund or at least change my phone??, because i bought a broken phone if after 2 weeks it had dust under the screen….
If you have dust under the screen of your phone then you may get the benefit of IP67 warranty but in case of any external damage such as battery loosing etc, I am not sure.
