With the help of this tutorial you can update your Galaxy Note N7000 with official XXLA3 Gingerbread update which will boost the functionality and efficiency of your Smartphone. How to Update your Phone with this release
- First Download the firmware package which is much heavy in size ( 600+ MB ) Link
- Extract the download zip folder and run the odin.exe file
- Switch OFF your Galaxy Note and then switch ON in Download Mode.( You can enter in Download Mode by pressing Volume Down Key as well as OK button + Power Button )
- After entering download mode connect your phone to PC by using USB ( odin.exe must be running during it )
- In odin you will see a yellow part ( 0:[COM3] )
- Set the configuration as shown in figure
- Now select the files as shown below

Phone – MODEM_N7000XXLA3_REV_05_CL1095424.tar.md5
CSC – GT-N7000-MULTI-CSC-OXALA3.tar.md5
Warning- Do not select the option Re-Partition because it may cause your phone software dead.

Now select the option “Start”

The firmware upgrade process will be started and after about 10 minutes it should be completed. Your phone will be rebooted

As soon as you see the Phone Home screen, disconnect the phone from USB and enter in recovery mode (Recovery Mode- Turn the phone off and then Press the Menu Button + Volume Up button with Power button )

- In recovery mode select the option Wipe Data or Factory Reset and Wipe Cache partition
- Then select the option Clear Dalvik Cache and then restart your phone to clean all cache
- Now check the firmware version in Settings > About Phone > Firmware Version
If you find the version up to date you have successfully updated your Galaxy Note to XXLA3 Gingerbread Firmware
